Our Story

Wulff Brothers Livestock (WBL) was founded in 1988 by brothers Carl and Tom Wulff. In 1990, ownership transitioned to Carl and Heidi Wulff, who have continued to build upon the program’s strong foundation and reputation for quality Angus genetics.
Originally based in Woodland, California, the operation relocated to Eastern Washington in 2015. While the ranch's home base moved north, WBL remains committed to serving commercial and seedstock producers throughout the West Coast, providing quality Angus bulls backed by generations of proven genetics, performance, and longevity.

Carl Wulff has spent a lifetime in the Angus cattle industry and is widely respected for his dedication to both the breed and the future of agriculture. Alongside his commitment to producing quality cattle, Carl has been a strong supporter of youth livestock programs, including 4-H and FFA, helping develop the next generation of agricultural leaders. Today, WBL is truly a family operation. Carl and Heidi work alongside their four children and their families to continue the ranch’s legacy. Charlie serves as the primary operator of the Washington ranch, while his siblings contribute in various capacities to support the business's success.

The next generation is already making its mark. Carl and Heidi are proud grandparents to ten grandchildren—and counting—who are actively involved in day-to-day ranch activities. Whether helping with chores, caring for cattle, or learning the values of hard work and stewardship, the grandchildren play an important role in the operation. Their regular interaction with the herd also contributes to the calm disposition and ease of handling that WBL cattle are known for. For more than 30 years, Wulff Brothers Livestock has marketed quality Angus genetics through some of the West Coast's premier bull sales. Since 1995, WBL has been a trusted consignor at the Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale and has also proudly offered cattle through the Black Gold Sale, building a reputation for structurally sound, functional bulls backed by longevity, maternal strength, and proven performance. Continuing that tradition, WBL is excited to launch the inaugural Wulff Brothers Livestock Video Sale in 2027, providing customers with expanded access to the quality genetics and customer-focused service that have defined the operation for generations.

At its core, Wulff Brothers Livestock remains a family-centered operation dedicated to producing structurally sound, functional Angus cattle while preserving the values, work ethic, and traditions that have defined the ranch for decades
